DESCRIPTION:Please join us for the FDS Women’s Career Development Colloqu
 ium Series\, proudly supported by the Department of Statistics and Data Sc
 ience (S&DS) and the Yale Institute for Foundations of Data Science (FDS).
  This series will feature inspiring talks from female Yale alumni and lead
 ing professionals in statistics and related fields who will share their ca
 reer journeys and valuable insights. We encourage active participation—a
 sk questions\, engage in discussions\, and take full advantage of this enr
 iching opportunity. The series is dedicated to supporting women in statist
 ics and related fields at Yale\, providing a platform where female profess
 ionals can share their experiences\, discuss challenges\, and offer guidan

 60457\n\n\n\nBio: Dr. Lacey received her A.B. in mathematics from Bryn Maw
 r College in 1994. After working in industry for two years\, she returned 
 to graduate school in 1996 in the Department of Statistics at Yale Univers
 ity and earned her Ph.D. in 2003. While completing her dissertation\, she 
 gained considerable experience in microarray analysis as a part-time resea
 rch assistant in Dr. Paul Lizardi's lab in the Department of Pathology at 
 the Yale University School of Medicine. She joined the Department of Mathe
 matics at Tulane University as an Assistant Professor in the fall of 2003 
 and was appointed Adjunct Assistant Professor of Biostatistics at the Tula
 ne University School of Public Health in January 2004. Dr. Lacey’s resea
 rch is rooted in statistical genetics\, focusing on problems related to ph
 ylogeny reconstruction\, and she is generally interested in the developmen
 t of statistical methods for the analysis of biological data.\n\n\n\n\nReg
