Step 1 of 4
The Yale Institute for Foundations of Data Science (FDS) advances the Mathematical, Algorithmic, and Statistical (MAS) Foundations of Data Science and their interdisciplinary applications. It helps integrate faculty working in these areas across many departments by providing a place for them to meet, hosting seminars and workshops of broad interest, and by bringing outstanding scholars to campus. It helps scholars throughout Yale apply Data Science in their research, and in turn it helps Foundations researchers discover the unmet needs of domain scientists that will lead to new methodological advances.
Members of the institute come from departments and schools across the university, but should be united by having a research interest in the foundations of data science. Members with appointments in FAS or SEAS should be ladder faculty, hold teaching positions, or be research scientists. Members from other schools should have appointments that allow graduate advising. Reasonable exceptions to this policy are possible.
This survey will take about 30 minutes to complete, and will ask for detailed contact information, including bio, headshot and CV, and also ask questions about your interest and contribution to data science research at Yale University.
