Akhilesh Tumu
Akhilesh is a PhD student in Operations at the Yale School of Management. Previously, he graduated with a B.A. in Mathematical Economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 2024. His research interests are in information and decision-making on online platforms—in particular, he is interested in how platforms that use artificial intelligence elicit and aggregate data. His current research focuses on understanding how much agents should converse and elicit information from users before making decisions, including applications to recommender systems in e-commerce.
What do you do with Data Science?
I'm very excited to collaborate with researchers working in both application domains and the methods of data science, especially as my interests focus on platforms that often combine different elements of data science with specific applications.
