Breanna van Loenen

Breanna received her Bachelors from New York University in Environmental Health and her Masters from Boston University in Remote Sensing/Geospatial Science. Prior to joining the Environmental Engineering Department at Yale, she worked as a Data Analyst at the Boston University School of Public Health, studying transportation- and energy-related emissions of health-relevant air pollutants. Her dissertation research is focused on quantifying exposure to volatile organic compounds from the oil and gas sector and studying their implications for local and regional atmospheric chemistry.
What do you do with Data Science?
I am excited to apply advanced data science principles to problems in atmospheric chemistry and to explore the broader implications of my work across different disciplines.
