Edoardo is a third-year PhD student in Statistics and Data Science at Yale University. Prior to beginning his PhD, he studied applied mathematics and engineering in Italy, where he developed his quantitative background and experience with mathematical modeling. His current research interests span Bayesian statistics, statistical methodology and applied data science, with a focus on methods that connect theory to scientific applications. He is currently working on developing new statistical methods for genetic and genomic data. In the future, he hopes to continue expanding his expertise in biomedical applications, as well as other fields where data science can be applied.
What do you do with Data Science?
As a Yale Data Science Fellow, I’m excited to build and engage with an interdisciplinary community within Yale and beyond. As a statistician, I find it especially valuable to learn from researchers across fields, understand the problems they are working on and draw inspiration for new methods and models.
