What do you do with Data Science?
My research at Yale is primarily on two domains: artificial intelligence for precision medicine, and artificial intelligence for precision radiotherapy. With funding from NIBIB, NSF, NCI, DOE, YCC and Amazon, some active projects carried out at Yale Smart Medicine Lab include (1) multiscale digital twin modeling of cancer patients; (2) early cancer detection via statistical modeling of personal health data; (3) artificial intelligence for clinical decision support; (4) a generalizable data framework toward precision radiotherapy; and (5) AI-empowered mobile health and smart medicine. In the future, I’d like to work with FDS members and community members on campus and contribute my expertise in AI and healthcare to build a national hub at Yale that facilitates and catalyzes research, teaching, and innovation in data science.
