Shuyang Gong
Shuyang Gong is an FDS Postdoctoral Fellow at the Yale Institute for Foundations of Data Science, hosted by Professor Daniel A. Spielman, and is affiliated with Yale's Department of Statistics and Data Science. He works in probability theory, focusing on random graphs and high-dimensional statistical inference. Recent topics include stochastic block models, graph alignment, perceptron models, preferential attachment networks, and random matrix theory. He received a Ph.D. in Probability and Mathematical Statistics from Peking University in 2026, advised by Professors Dayue Chen and Jian Ding, and a B.S. in Statistics from Shandong University in 2021.
