What do you do with Data Science?
My research focuses on the development and analysis of algorithms for machine learning, in particular for problems in optimization, sampling, and game dynamics, using tools from dynamical systems, statistics, and information theory. The goal is to derive rigorous convergence properties of algorithms with concrete dependence on dimension and parameters of the problem, so that they can be applied in practice for large-scale applications.
